Our South Poll Cattle are born & grazed on pasture in a chemical free environment - 100% grass fed and finished - pharma free - hormone free! We prioritize the welfare of our cattle by providing them fresh forage daily using intensive rotational grazing methods. South Polls are known as the “Southern Mama Cow” bred to be slick-haired, small-framed cows with high fertility, longevity, and calm disposition. This breed excels on a grass based grazing system.
WHOLE SHARE: $400 non-refundable deposit to reserve
$5.00 per pound hanging weight* (approx. 500-700 lbs)
HALF SHARE: $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve
$5.25 per pound hanging weight* (approx. 250-350 lbs)
BUTCHER FEES: Separate and paid to the butcher directly. Prices vary depending on customization and butcher selected.
*Hanging Weight is a weight the butcher gives us after the animal has been harvested, drained, head, hide, feet, entrails & organs removed. The hanging weight is usually about 60% of the live weight.
